Action must be taken to avert cataclysmic events on this planet. We see it everywhere. You don't have to be a scientist to see that there is something wrong with weather. But sadly there are political forces that want to mislead the public into thinking there is no such thing as human caused weather changes. In particular, the oil industry is buying-off politicians to lobby for petroleum products and prevent efforts to stop climate change. There are things we can do.

Climate Change Could Erase 50 Years of Health Advances, Report Says

Climate change may have a bigger impact on our health than we think. According to new research by an international team of researchers published in the journal The Lancet, climate change poses a potentially “catastrophic risk” to public health due to increased risk of the spread of disease, food insecurity and air pollution, among many other things.

Pakistan heat wave claims hundreds of lives

Hundreds of people have died in a three-day heatwave affecting Pakistan's largest city, Karachi, according to local media reports.A spokesperson from the Sindh province Ministry of Health told CNN that 323 people had died in Karachi as a result of the heatwave.

The ministry also told CNN that the number of patients treated for heat stroke in Jinnah hospital, the largest in the city, is 2.360.

Others, unable to make it to a hospital, may have died at home. At least one city morgue, CNN affiliate Geo.tv has reported, has been overwhelmed with the numbers of dead.
